Going to the Movies...

My family and I enjoy going to the movies. If it is something we really feel is worth seeing at the theater, we head on out, and have a "movie date."
Sometimes it may just be my husband and I , or we will check out some of the latest Disney releases and bring our daughter. With the cost of movies, it can be expensive to go to the movies. My husband and I both belong to the
Keresotes Five Buck Club where you pay only $5 to see a movie. (You can read more info about the $5 buck club here)...

But before we head out, we often search the net to find the listings for our movie playing. The Internet offers so many different websites to find what time and area that a movie is playing. "Back in the day," you often had to scan the newspaper for theater listings or even call the theater to see what was playing. With a few clicks of the mouse and minimal data entry, you can decide where and when you will be seeing your selected movie of choice...

There is quite a few of you out there who probably already use the Internet to find current movie listings and time, but I wrote an article and expanded on a few other websites that you may not have heard of...

If you'd like to find out about more websites that offer movie listings, you can read my article

Looking to Save Money on your Gas Bills during the Winter?

For those who live in areas that get downright bone chilling cold, it often makes us squirm to turn on the furnace. During the days when the furnace seems to run, and run... and run--we start to worry about the heating bill....

Winter can be just scary.  When you think about the arrival of your utility bills or the possible snow storm-its plays just a bit of havoc on our minds...

Now -I'm not the type who doesn't enjoy a nice pretty light snow fall. Snow can indeed be very beautiful. But when snow, the cold, and ice make things treacherous-It is definitely not any fun.

While we may enjoy being holed up in our homes playing board or video games, relaxing under a blanket reading a good book or enjoying a favorite movie-there are ways to be stress-free about the impending heating bills.

Some ways to save on heating our homes can actually be free or come at a low cost. Some of those ways involve simply putting on extra clothing or getting out your favorite afghan...

I wrote an article a few days that can offer you some tips on how to save money on your heating bills by including some of these very easy, cheap, and free tips to use in your home--feel free to check it out :) !

Overall, December was my best month in the last few months of part time writing. I think it was because I was trying to make extra cash for Christmas shopping too!

As for my goals for 2010, I would like to continuously make $600-$800 per month part time. Possibly $2-$300 per week would be nice. I continue to write for Associated Content and Demand Studios. I do need to do some more work with Edubook and hope to obtain other clients as well. Until then, I plan to carry out and add travel articles and all kinds of other interesting reads to this blog and keep you all in touch with my writing endeavors :)

May God bless you and all of your family throughout the new year.... I hope that 2010 brings us all much better things!...

Just a Short Note Now that Christmas is Over... :(

I feel the same way that Garfield does here... Christmas always comes and goes so fast! :(
We spend so much time preparing, and try to linger the time with our families-before we know it-Christmas has came to an end... I wish people could be joyous all year long...

Chinese Food = Yummy!

So in my last post, I spoke of my love for sushi. Not only do I just love sushi, but I also have a fondness for Chinese food. I have taken some time to write about some Chinese restaurants found in Mattoon, Illinois.

Now those who are from the area, have probably ate all 3 mentioned restaurants. But those who are coming to town to visit or shop, this can give you some ideas if you have a hankering for some good Chinese food.

Some of my favorites at the Chinese buffets are salmon, chicken and broccoli with rice, buttered shrimp and crab, egg drop soup and wonton soup, and crab rangoons. Although, I may fill up more on sushi, I do fiest on those other dishes as well.

So, if you are visiting or know someone heading to Mattoon, Illinois, read about the following Chinese restaurant options that you can dine in...

SUSHI... one of my favorite foods.

Those who know me, know my love for sushi.

My husband even got me a sushi making kit for Christmas last year (2008). It is something that I never knew that I would like. I got the courage to try it one night at a Chinese buffet and have never looked back. I love the stuff. California rolls, the ones with shrimp and crab in it, avocados, shrimp and cream cheese and more. There are still plenty more kinds that I have yet to try, and do plan on doing that some day! :)

I've still been focusing more on writing travel articles and have been covering restaurants and hotels. Awhile back, I even got the chance to cover some sushi restaurants in Boise, Idaho. I did some research and wrote about 3 Sushi buffet/restaurants found in Boise. Believe me-my mouth was watering by the time I had finished writing them! Made me want to go have some sushi!

I have been so blessed to have gotten the chance to write these type of travel articles through Demand Studios, and they are really starting to grow on me. I enjoy finding out about different hotels and restaurants. So far-restaurants are my most favorite thing to write about! I love learning about all of the different types of food made and sold!: ) IT sure is a lot of fun--even if it makes me hungry when I am finished! --ha ha
