Selling Online for $$$$

For those wanting to make some extra cash or need a way to make extra income because of unemployment, they may look to selling items online. The internet provides us with many opportunities and websites for us to sell crafts, gently used clothing, trinkets, antiques, and more.

One popular website that almost everybody has heard of by now is of course Ebay... Ebay has millions of visitors each month, and it is a very easy to get our items "out there." Although, there have been other websites who have tried to compete with their prices and numbers of visitors---yet none have won--just yet--

One fairly new website coming onto the horizon is Bonanzle.com. It is currently building its community of both buyers and sellers. While it is a very tight-knit community, it still is building up its traffic each month. Prices to sell our reasonable-much more affordable than its auction giant, Ebay.  Also, sellers do not pay for their listings --until that item sells. And the most anybody will every pay for their listings is $10--when an item sells for $1000+ .

I decided to compare both Ebay and Bonanzle together and wrote an informative article for anyone interested in selling their items there... If you are new to selling on the internet, and looking to save a few bucks-Bonanzle could be a great starting point for you before heading over to Ebay--It's also a great way to keep a few dollars in your pocket as well.  Feel free to read more about here...

Online Writing Can be Rewarding

So it has been a few months since I have began my journey into part time writing. It actually started around November, and now January is almost over. -So almost a good 3 months. Within those three months, I have reaped some of the rewards that this new gig has had to offer.--Even sort of some awards at that ;)

Some of my writing seems to be blossoming over at Associated Content. A few weeks ago, I applied for some of the featured contributors positions and was actually named one! I am now a Featured Technology Contributor over there. Not only am I a freelance writer, but I also did attend college for a little while, and was able to earn the Computer Applications Specialist certificate :) So --that certificiate did pay off somewhere at least!  Also at Associated Content, I earned the top 1,000 badge-meaning that my content was in the top 1,000 in page-views in 2009.

I do hope to take my writing even more to the top. I'd like to publish a couple more books sometime too-poetry and a jewelry making book. For now, I am still getting my feet wet in the content writing business, enjoying a couple extra days home a week, and having more time to focus on what I love best-writing! :)

Going to the Movies...

My family and I enjoy going to the movies. If it is something we really feel is worth seeing at the theater, we head on out, and have a "movie date."
Sometimes it may just be my husband and I , or we will check out some of the latest Disney releases and bring our daughter. With the cost of movies, it can be expensive to go to the movies. My husband and I both belong to the
Keresotes Five Buck Club where you pay only $5 to see a movie. (You can read more info about the $5 buck club here)...

But before we head out, we often search the net to find the listings for our movie playing. The Internet offers so many different websites to find what time and area that a movie is playing. "Back in the day," you often had to scan the newspaper for theater listings or even call the theater to see what was playing. With a few clicks of the mouse and minimal data entry, you can decide where and when you will be seeing your selected movie of choice...

There is quite a few of you out there who probably already use the Internet to find current movie listings and time, but I wrote an article and expanded on a few other websites that you may not have heard of...

If you'd like to find out about more websites that offer movie listings, you can read my article

Looking to Save Money on your Gas Bills during the Winter?

For those who live in areas that get downright bone chilling cold, it often makes us squirm to turn on the furnace. During the days when the furnace seems to run, and run... and run--we start to worry about the heating bill....

Winter can be just scary.  When you think about the arrival of your utility bills or the possible snow storm-its plays just a bit of havoc on our minds...

Now -I'm not the type who doesn't enjoy a nice pretty light snow fall. Snow can indeed be very beautiful. But when snow, the cold, and ice make things treacherous-It is definitely not any fun.

While we may enjoy being holed up in our homes playing board or video games, relaxing under a blanket reading a good book or enjoying a favorite movie-there are ways to be stress-free about the impending heating bills.

Some ways to save on heating our homes can actually be free or come at a low cost. Some of those ways involve simply putting on extra clothing or getting out your favorite afghan...

I wrote an article a few days that can offer you some tips on how to save money on your heating bills by including some of these very easy, cheap, and free tips to use in your home--feel free to check it out :) !

Overall, December was my best month in the last few months of part time writing. I think it was because I was trying to make extra cash for Christmas shopping too!

As for my goals for 2010, I would like to continuously make $600-$800 per month part time. Possibly $2-$300 per week would be nice. I continue to write for Associated Content and Demand Studios. I do need to do some more work with Edubook and hope to obtain other clients as well. Until then, I plan to carry out and add travel articles and all kinds of other interesting reads to this blog and keep you all in touch with my writing endeavors :)

May God bless you and all of your family throughout the new year.... I hope that 2010 brings us all much better things!...
