Using Your Television as your Computer Screen

If you want a little extra room on your computer desktop, try hooking your computer up to your television. Most new HD televisions and other newer versions allow you to hoop up your computer to your television with special cords. By doing some research, you can find out what types of cords you will need so that you can turn your television into your computer screen .


Doing this can be useful when you want to work on a PowerPoint presentation, or if you want to watch movies from your computer on your television. This would be ideal for those with Netflix accounts or like to watch their missed shows on websites such as Hulu.com. 


If you believe you need extra cables such as VGA cables, you can find them online at Optimization World or sometimes at your local retail stores such as Wal-Mart or electronics specialty stores such as BestBuy.  On occasion, I like to use my HD television as a computer screen to watch television shows or movies. This is useful for when I don't want to sit at my desk. If I want to relax, I bring the laptop to the bedroom, hook it up and then sit down to my favorite television shows....
