Mother's Day is coming soon!

Mother's Day is coming soon! It's a time to celebrate motherhood and to thank our mothers who raised us by letting them know how much they are loved each and every day. There are a variety of gifts we can give our mothers for Mothers Day to bring that special smile to their face. Of course-any gift is not complete with a hug or kiss and telling her that you love her.

Some examples of some meaningful gifts that you can give mom this mother's day can be flowers, jewelry, candy, a favorite book or knick knack, gift basket, or even something handmade from the heart. You can create handmade gifts for your mom such as a handmade personalized bracelet or a painted coffee mug with a little flower planted inside-or her favorite candy.

And remember, not every gift that you give your mother has to be expensive or even off the shelves of a retail store. Try classic gifts like flowers, a poem from the heart or even a handmade gift...

Fragrant. Romantic. Exotic. Originally from the tropics, the gardenia is admired for its creamy white blooms, distinctive glossy leaves and unique perfume. This lush plant arrives in a stylish lavender tin planter beautifully beaded with faux pearls.

Illinois Travel Guide

For almost a week, I have been battling one of the
worst colds I think I have ever had. It began last Tuesday at 3:30 am with 102 degree fever, a very stuffy nose, chest pains, coughing and just over-all exhaustion. I had a bit of a sore throat that previous Monday-but things went from bad to worst in just hours. I was hit fast-and HARD..... ughhh! Was no fun :( I only worked one day at the office and even missed our annual open house.

While I was in bed battling this awful cold, I did find some time to organize some of my Illinois articles though. I thought I would put some of them to good use and make a mini traveler's guide out of them. For now the Illinois Visitor's page sits on my own author biography page, but eventually I will make a website from it.

The page has links to articles that explain hotels or bed and breakfasts to stay at, restaurants in the area and attractions to see. ...

If you would like to see the Illinois Visitor's Guide page yourself or refer it to others, feel free to:  http://www.arianacherry.biz/visitorsguide.html

Date Ideas in Your Hometown

A little while back, Associated Content had an assignment for its writers: Places to go for a date in your hometown. I wrote about a few places that a couple could go in my hometown...

While there may not be big well known steak houses or movie theaters, the town that I live in offers a unique view of history with a little bit of fun. A couple would have to have an admiration for crafts, antiques, some history and a love for peaceful small towns. Quaint small towns are still able to bring some romance for a date-you don't always have to visit the city.

In a rural town like I live in ,you hear the clacking of the hooves of horse and buggies, the smell of country Amish food and stores that feature handmade crafts from local craftsmen as well as antiques too.

If you would like to know about some of the things that you can do on a date in the area that I live in, you can enjoy reading my mini date guide.

For those who are interested, I have added a few links of some of the places where I write content for. If you would like to try your hand at freelance writing, try some of the websites that I have listed for writing jobs.

You can find those online job listings at:

Budgeting Tips, Money Advice and Free Government Programs

After working in an outreach office for almost seven years and writing budgeting articles, I finally took my knowledge and my content-and plugged it all into one financial website. For awhile, I had been thinking about completing this project, but just had not gotten everything together yet because I wanted to make sure I had enough content and information to make a website.

With the state of the economy and so many families and individuals in crisis-I knew this was one type of website that many people could benefit from. I really enjoy helping people and offering what advice I have. I may not know everything-(and I certainly don't)-but I have acquired some skills and knowledge that could be helpful for those who don't have knowledge or access about helpful government programs.

There are several people out there who don't realize they can sign up for help on their utility bills, or assistance with their rent or medical costs. Some just need a little inspiration on how to stretch the dollar (which now--really isn't worth that much!)

So now--I have many answers--all in one website: Family Budgeting at Home

I hope to get a domain name for this website soon if it becomes successful. For now-it is being hosted for free through Office Live....

Please check out my newest website,  Family Budgeting at Home, and leave your comments. I would like to know if this website is informative-or if it needs more, etc....

I do hope that it can be helpful for many....
