Valentine's Day Gift Ideas: How to Say I Love You Without Flowers

You are on your way home when the frightening realization has dawned on you. It's Valentine's Day and you have forgotten to buy a gift! You turn around and scramble your way back to the nearest flower-shop or grocery store to get some flowers.

Although, now its getting late, and you can only pick from the left-overs. All of the "good stuff" has been purchased. With this said, it's another year of apologizing because of last-minute shopping.

It doesn't have to be this same scenario every Valentine's Day. In fact, you don't even have to buy flowers to say "I love you." There are many other ways to express your love without having to hand over wilted roses for Valentine's Day. Click here to learn about gifts for Valentine's day....

The Spiritual Revolution: Bring the love, conquer the hate

I've been working on a new YouTube Channel, The Spirit Revolution, and I just recently finished the trailer. It's a new way I am going to start presenting some of my poetry....

With all of the chaos in this world, I was inspired to create a place online where I can deliver positive messages. It seems like stories of inspiration are far and few in between when you turn on the news or pick up a newspaper.

I decided to create " A Spiritual Revolution," at YouTube. It will be videos/recordings of poems that speak of faith, love and hope. So anytime you need a pick-me up or some inspiration, I will have it available...I just figured it was time to start conquering all of the negativity in this world and try to bring something more positive.

The link to the trailer and my new channel is below. More videos will be added soon.

My review of "Women of the Bible" performed by Anita Gutschick

(Image from http://www.womenofthebible.com

Today, I saw a really captivating performance by Anita Gutschick, an actress who portrays Women of the Bible. She is a one-woman show that sends a strong inspirational message through the art of drama. It is amazing how she can switch from one character to the next. With each performance, there is a moving message included. I saw her at a nearby church in my area, and it was a wonderful show.

Our message through the entire "conference" today, was about women and how they can be courageous and can be leaders. Women can overcome obstacles in their lives, but still come out, being strong, leading and helping deliver the message of God. Sometimes there are things in life that get us down and make us scared, but with God's love, we can learn to pick ourselves up, and come out stronger than we were before.

Date Ideas in Your Hometown

A little while back, Associated Content had an assignment for its writers: Places to go for a date in your hometown. I wrote about a few places that a couple could go in my hometown...

While there may not be big well known steak houses or movie theaters, the town that I live in offers a unique view of history with a little bit of fun. A couple would have to have an admiration for crafts, antiques, some history and a love for peaceful small towns. Quaint small towns are still able to bring some romance for a date-you don't always have to visit the city.

In a rural town like I live in ,you hear the clacking of the hooves of horse and buggies, the smell of country Amish food and stores that feature handmade crafts from local craftsmen as well as antiques too.

If you would like to know about some of the things that you can do on a date in the area that I live in, you can enjoy reading my mini date guide.
